BEER NAME: New World Pilsner

BEER STYLE: Pilsner

BREWERY: Australian Brewery

REGION: New South Wales, Australia

ABV: 4.6%

INGREDIENTS: Water, barley, hops and yeast.

BREWER’S NOTES: Inspired by the classic crisp and bitter pilsners of Germany, the Australian Brewery Pilsner takes the palest Australian malts and interweaves the bite and aroma of new world hops. Enjoy a classic German style pilsner with a twist; the spicy NZ and citrus American hops generate an enticing aroma and a crisp peppery bitterness that balances a rounded malt profile.

TASTING NOTES:

  • APPEARANCE: Clear straw gold with large lingering white head and incredible lacing
  • AROMA: Fruity, citrus and grassy notes with a hint of peppery spice
  • FLAVOUR: Lightly toasted malt, with lemon fruit & floral flavours, grapefruit also coming through with the medium bitter ending
  • MOUTHFEEL: Medium bodied, smooth and crisp
  • OVERALL: This is a fantastically easy drinking and fully flavored Pilsner. Fruity sweet and delightfully bitter.
  • PAIR WITH:   The dry, crisp, citrus and fruit flavours of a New World pilsner match perfectly with BBQs in the sun. It is suited best for grilled seafood and chicken but can stand up to the stronger flavours of beef or lamb. Our favourite is to pair it with spicy South-East Asian dishes, helping calm the chilli heat while adding complexity to the vibrant flavours. Pairing suggestion taken from Smudgeeats.com
